A photograph of the nameplate and one wide shot of the run or the pallet is enough to begin. If the nameplate is gone, photograph whatever is written on the cover and we will identify it.

Schedule on Your Terms
Removal is arranged around your shutdown window, demolition sequence or production schedule. Where a contractor badge or a safety orientation is required, we work through it.

Selling Bus Plugs and Busway: Common Questions
Straight answers
What exactly do you buy?
Fusible bus plugs, circuit breaker plug-in units, plug-in and feeder busway, bus duct in copper and aluminum, cable tap boxes, fusible switch units, transition fittings, elbows, tees and end closures. We also buy the panelboards, switchboards, safety switches, starters, MCC buckets and dry type transformers that come out of the same electrical room, so you only deal with one buyer and get one check.
Do I have to test or certify anything before you make an offer?
No, and this is worth being clear about. We never ask a seller to test, megger or certify equipment. We grade from physical condition and the nameplate, working from your photos first and our own inspection on site afterward.
Who does the dismantling and who pays the freight?
We do, on both counts. Our own crew takes the run down with our lifts and our rigging, and the freight is on our ticket. Those costs are already built into the offer you receive.
When do I get paid?
Before anything leaves your property. Our offers are cash offers and are not contingent on us reselling the equipment afterward.
Will you buy just a few plugs?
Yes. A pallet is worth a call. We also buy entire electrical rooms, whole plant teardowns and maintenance storeroom liquidations as a single purchase.
Is old or obsolete equipment worth anything?
Frequently it is worth more, not less. A plant running a busway line that went out of production cannot buy new plugs at any price, so the used market is the only market and discontinued units hold real value. Do not scrap old gear before asking.
Do you buy fire or water damaged material?
Yes, as recovery-grade purchases priced on the copper, aluminum and steel content. Do not assume that is what you have, though. Sellers routinely scrap plugs we would have paid several times scrap price for.
